Making technical work discoverable
Discoverability is not adding keywords after the work is finished. It is explaining the work clearly enough that the right person can recognize its value before they know your name.
Publish the question, not just the answer
A durable page gives context: what was the problem, what constraints mattered, what changed, and what should someone do next. This structure helps readers and gives search systems meaningful relationships between ideas.
Use evidence as the content
Screenshots, decisions, code excerpts, measurements, and honest trade-offs are more useful than inflated claims. Show the shape of the work and let the reader decide whether it applies to them.
Connect the library
Link guides to projects, projects to notes, and notes back to the concepts they explain. A small, coherent body of work compounds better than a pile of isolated posts.
A page worth finding
- Use one clear title that says what the reader will learn.
- Include the constraints and the result, not just the process.
- Add links to the adjacent work a curious reader will need.
